About Therapy
Create a life aligned with your deepest values and goals.
By the time most people arrive at my office, they are exhausted, overwhelmed, and at a loss for ideas. Sometimes, they’ve even hit rock bottom. They want things in their lives to improve, but they don’t know where to start.
Therapy is an opportunity to focus on your thoughts and feelings and gain clarity about what you truly need in life. Some problems are internal and relate to you, whereas others are external and concern your environment.
I help you determine which problems fall into which category. Then, together, we create an action plan for resolution and progress.
For the problems that aren’t solvable, we will work on accepting and embracing those in a way that gives you meaning and purpose. Relief and healing are possible.

You deserve the chance to:
- Better understand yourself.
- Identify the areas where you want to grow or change.
- Build your own future with peace, clarity, and confidence.
Here’s how we will work together.
In therapy with me, you will spend time with a supportive, neutral person who both encourages you and holds you accountable, and this can be a life-changing experience.
Through our work together, you will learn to manage your thoughts and feelings so that they don’t manage you, which is an incredibly empowering experience. It takes you from feeling like life is happening to you to believing life is happening with you and for you.
We are each the narrator of our own story, so let’s make yours a good one.
About Amber

Therapy is both personal and professional to me.
As the child of divorced parents, I grew up with confusion about close relationships. I knew they were important, but what made a relationship healthy wasn’t clear.
After attending therapy myself in my mid-20s, I decided to become a therapist. Therapy changed my life in so many positive ways, and it can change yours, too.
My goal is to help each of my clients understand and resolve the challenges they face in life. Whether those problems are specific to the individual’s stress or rooted in the complexity of their relationships, there is always a way forward.
Here’s my professional profile.
I completed graduate school at Georgia State University in 2011. I earned a Master’s Degree and a Specialist’s degree in professional counseling. For a decade, I focused on EFCT (Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy), and I now work with individuals on anxiety, depression, and relationship issues.
Additionally, I offer two types of structured couples counseling: discernment counseling for couples considering divorce and premarital counseling for engaged couples.
I am also a trained mediator who advocates for families during the divorce process.
When I’m not practicing therapy…
I enjoy dancing, HIIT workouts at F45, spending time in nature, and cooking homemade meals for my family.
